NYU SOF hosts various conferences and professional events throughout the year — bringing together hundreds of like-minded college students and finance executives. Registration for some conferences is only open to SOF members, while others are open to all interested students. Northeast Leadership Conference

The Northeast Leadership Conference is NYU SOF’s annual flagship event, organized in collaboration with chapters from neighboring schools. It brings together students and finance professionals for a mix of panel discussions, keynote speeches, and networking focused on SOF’s core mission, vision, and values. Registration for the Northeast Leadership Conference is limited to SOF members.

2026 Fall Northeast Leadership Summit | October, 2026

The 2026 Northeast Leadership Summit will be hosted in New York. It will bring together students and executives from top firms for an afternoon of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking rotations. The event will also welcome other chapters across the Northeast.

With the theme of “Grounded by Humility, Driven by Ambition,” the conference is an opportunity for students to hear from values-based leaders shaping the finance industry and leverage their learnings to serve the greater good.

Northeast Leadership Conferences

The 2026 Spring Northeast Leadership Conference was held in Spring 2026 at the Stern School of Business, focusing on the intersection between artificial intelligence and finance. In prior years, the Northeast Leadership Conference has also been held at the New York offices of Deutsche Bank, Point72, and KKR.

SOF x 100 Women in Finance Conferences

NYU SOF partnered with 100 Women in Finance, a national non-profit focused on supporting women in the finance industry, to host conferences. Since its inception in Fall 2022, the event has explored impactful themes, including “The Power of Women Leaders in Finance,” “The Future of Finance,” and “Women at the Forefront: Innovations in Business.”

Climate Symposium

Our inaugural Climate Symposium took place in Fall 2023 at the Stern School of Business. Through a keynote panel, discussions, and a networking session, students learned about career paths in the climate economy, such as in academia, data science, and finance.
